Independent Visitor Partnership Co-ordinator
Service type: ONE 4 U is a service set up to match Looked -After Children with a ONE visitor…….
This is a new service within the London Borough of Harrow and is funded and run in conjunction with Harrow 's Children Services and Harrow Association of Voluntary Service.
The service aims are to identify, train and then support the ONE Independent Visitor to champion and support a unique child or young person who is looked after.
Helping them to aim higher and achieve goals that all children should achieve with the right encouragement and support.
We will liaise with the child or young person to identify their interests and needs within the ONE 4U service and match them with the right Independent Visitor.
- Full training will be given and you will be closely supported and monitored.
- Potential independent visitors go forward to a panel on the 5th week of training.
- The panel is independent of the training and has final decision on suitability.
This service began in February 2009 and is funded by the London Borough of Harrow and run in conjunction by Harrow Association of Voluntary Service and in partnership with Harrow’s Children Services.
