Voluntary & Community Sector Forum

HAVS has been instrumental in setting up the Voluntary and Community Sector Forum which meets quarterly to discuss issues of interest to the sector.

HAVS acts as an Administrator for the Voluntary and Community Sector Forum which meets bi-monthly to discuss issues of interest and concern to the Voluntary and Community Sector. We also have speakers ranging from representatives from the PCT, the Pensions and Job Centre services, Harrow Council, North West Community Foundation etc. who want to network and provide information about their services to our sector.

All members of the Voluntary and Community Sector, whether they work or volunteer for a Trust or are a Trustee for a small or large organisation, are welcome to attend. The only criteria is that your organisation works for the benefit of Harrow residents in some way.

The Voluntary and Community Sector forum is a reference group for the Harrow Partnership Board.

The representatives were elected by the Voluntary and Community Sector in April 2010 for a two year term of office. They are:

The Sector have been invited to become involved in the quarterly Member Development Meetings. This is a two hour slot whereby Members sit with an Officer at different tables (rotating from each table) and talk in details about aspects of the Officer's work, e.g. Legal Services.

If you would like to represent the Sector and talk about issues of concern (rather than just your own organisation's issues) please contact Julia Smith . We will allocate a space on a first come first serve basis, giving priority to organisations that have not been involved before.
